Description

A delicious and easy-to-make casserole combining the classic flavors of Sloppy Joes with crispy tater tots, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup Sloppy Joe sauce
  • 2 cups frozen tater tots
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and bell pepper over medium heat until the meat is browned and the vegetables are tender.
  3. Stir in the Sloppy Joe sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. In a greased casserole dish, spread the meat mixture evenly.
  5. Top the meat mixture with frozen tater tots.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

  • Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to the meat mixture.
