Description

A delicious fusion of traditional baklava and creamy cheesecake, topped with honey and pistachios.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup pistachios, chopped
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter, then press into the bottom of a springform pan.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the center is set.
  7. While the cheesecake is baking, prepare the honey syrup by combining honey, water, and cinnamon in a saucepan over medium heat until it simmers.
  8. Once the cheesecake is done, let it cool, then drizzle the honey syrup over the top and sprinkle with chopped pistachios.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use roasted pistachios.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • Can be served with additional honey drizzled on top.
