Delicious homemade caramels infused with the spicy flavor of Fireball whiskey, perfect for a sweet treat or gift.

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup Fireball whiskey
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and heavy cream over medium heat.
- Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Continue to boil without stirring until the mixture reaches 245°F (firm ball stage) on a candy thermometer.
- Remove from heat and carefully stir in Fireball whiskey, salt, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the caramel into a greased 8×8 inch pan and let it cool completely.
- Once cooled, cut into squares and wrap in wax paper.
Notes
- Be cautious when adding the whiskey as the mixture may bubble up.
- Store caramels in an airtight container at room temperature.
- For a spicier flavor, add more Fireball whiskey to taste.
