Description

Delicious homemade caramels infused with the spicy flavor of Fireball whiskey, perfect for a sweet treat or gift.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Fireball whiskey
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and heavy cream over medium heat.
  2. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a boil.
  3. Continue to boil without stirring until the mixture reaches 245°F (firm ball stage) on a candy thermometer.
  4. Remove from heat and carefully stir in Fireball whiskey, salt, and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the caramel into a greased 8×8 inch pan and let it cool completely.
  6. Once cooled, cut into squares and wrap in wax paper.

Notes

  • Be cautious when adding the whiskey as the mixture may bubble up.
  • Store caramels in an airtight container at room temperature.
  • For a spicier flavor, add more Fireball whiskey to taste.
