Description

A delicious and aromatic herb focaccia topped with sea salt, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 3/4 cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • Sea salt, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. Once risen, punch down the dough and spread it onto a greased baking sheet.
  7. Use your fingers to create dimples in the dough. Sprinkle with chopped herbs and sea salt.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add garlic or other herbs of your choice.
  • This focaccia is best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
