Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1 3/4 cups warm water
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- Sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Once risen, punch down the dough and spread it onto a greased baking sheet.
- Use your fingers to create dimples in the dough. Sprinkle with chopped herbs and sea salt.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add garlic or other herbs of your choice.
- This focaccia is best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
