Description

Cranberry Jalapeño Cowboy Candy is a sweet and spicy treat that combines the tartness of cranberries with the heat of jalapeños, perfect for snacking or as a unique gift.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup sliced jalapeños
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the sugar and apple cider vinegar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the cranberries, sliced jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, and salt to the pot.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10-15 minutes until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  5. Transfer the mixture to sterilized jars and seal them tightly.
  6. Allow the jars to cool completely before storing them in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • For a milder version, remove the seeds from the jalapeños.
  • This candy can be served as a topping for cream cheese or used in sandwiches.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.
