Description

A delicious and unique grilled cheese sandwich featuring BBQ chicken and sweet pineapple.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 cup cooked BBQ chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer BBQ chicken, pineapple chunks, and shredded cheese.
  4. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  5. Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until the cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add jalapeños or red onion.
  • Use gluten-free bread for a gluten-free option.
  • Can substitute chicken with pulled pork for a different twist.
